Hawaii is also renowned for having the best water sports activities on the planet. Here is where almost all water activities originated. You could do some parasailing, surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, wakeboarding, windsurfing or simply swim in the ocean, although you might have to look for some beaches that have calmer waves. Almost all the surfers opt to come here to catch the biggest waves and every year a plethora of surfing contests are held here because Hawaii has probably the best waves for pitting surfers against each other.
But aside from that, Hawaii has a lot of tourist attractions too that are situated inland. Tourists can check out the various historical places in Hawaii that not only displays the ancient culture of the locals but also shows the history of the United States. One example is Pearl Harbour where many Americans tragically died during the attack on this place that happened during the Second World War. At Pearl Harbour you could find several museums that display the history of the site. There you could view the magnificent fighter planes that fought bravely when Pearl Harbour was attacked. Also, you could get to see the battleship that was docked at this place during the attack. If that’s not enough you could visit another museum on the base where the US government placed the names and the faces of those who died during the attack and those who fought valiantly against their oppressors. Pearl Harbour is rich in American history and it is one tourist spot that you shouldn’t miss.
After you’re done viewing some World War II memorabilia you should try checking out the volcanoes in Hawaii. Most of the volcanoes in Hawaii are still active and there are a few that you could actually see molten hot magma coming out. There are several tours that could take you to these active volcanoes and most of them are done on board helicopters. So you need not worry about getting too close to the volcanoes.
